Career
True was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1992 and served through 2000. True left the House and ran for
Pennsylvania Auditor General in 2000 where she was defeated by Bob Casey, Jr. After her defeat in 2002, True served as the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Commission for Women under GovernorTom Ridge .In 2002, True successfully ran for the House of Representatives and was re-elected in 2004 and 2006.

True was born in
Baltimore, Maryland but moved toLancaster County, Pennsylvania as a youth. She is a graduate of J. P. McCaskey High School.References
