Katie True is a Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 41st District and was elected in 2002.

She sits on the House Appropriations, Children and Youth, Health and Human Services, and Judiciary Committees.

Career

True was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1992 and served through 2000. True left the House and ran for Pennsylvania Auditor General in 2000 where she was defeated by Bob Casey, Jr. After her defeat in 2002, True served as the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Commission for Women under Governor Tom Ridge.

In 2002, True successfully ran for the House of Representatives and was re-elected in 2004 and 2006.

Personal

True was born in Baltimore, Maryland but moved to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania as a youth. She is a graduate of J. P. McCaskey High School.
