Eduardo Rubiano Moncada

Eduardo Rubiano Moncada (born in 1976 in Bogotá, Colombia) is a Colombian/American photographer.

Early life and Education

Rubiano Moncada spent his childhood in the cities of Cali and Barranquilla, where he received Jesuit school education before relocating to the United States in 1991.

Education and Early Career

He finished secondary education in the state of Florida and completed studies in photography at Daytona State College. Between 2000 and 2001 he worked as an employee of Magnum Photos in New York City and assisted veteran photographers Burt Glinn and Dennis Stock. Between 2001 and 2007, Rubiano Moncada worked in Washington DC for the National Geographic Society in various photography-related functions and started working as an independent photographer. After spending most of 2008 in Hamburg, Germany, he relocated to Barcelona, Spain.
