Tornaszentandrás is a village in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County, in Hungary.

ightseeing

The extraordinary sightseeing of the village is the Saint Andeas parochial church from the Árpád dynasty age: it has double apsis, or twin-apsis. In one of them stands the statue of the patron saint of the miners, Saint Barbara. In the other stands the statue of the patron saint of the church, Saint Andrew. The landowners of the village settled miners from Merano, Northern Italy, and probably they preserved their traditions of this típe of apsis here in Hungary.
