- J-Net
J-Net (the Japanese Network of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting in the United Kingdom) is a small network of about 150 professional translators and interpreters working between English and Japanese. Most members are based in the UK but it has members in over 12 countries. J-Net was established in 1986 in the same year ITI was set up and acts as a reference point for translators and interpreters working to and from Japanese to exchange ideas, offer work and get help with language-related problems. There is an active mailing list and website. A small yearly membership fee covers the cost of an annual general meeting and language workshops. J-Net is open to anyone who has a professional interest in translation and/or interpreting to and from Japanese.
