The Hon. Michael Claude Hamilton Bowes-Lyon

He was the 5th son of Claude George Bowes-Lyon, 14th Earl of Strathmore and Nina Cecilie Cavendish-Bentinck. Born 01 Oct 1893, he married Elizabeth Cator
on 02 Feb 1928. She was the daughter of John Cator and Maud Adeane. He died on 01 May 1953 as a result of complications from asthma and heart problems.

After the death of his nephew, Timothy Bowes-Lyon, 16th Earl Strathmore, the Earldom passed to his line one and his son, Fergus, became the 17th Earl. Children of Captain Hon. Michael Claude Hamilton Bowes-Lyon and Elizabeth Margaret Cator:
