Zimmerman House was the home of cartoonist Eugene Zimmerman, also known as Zim.cite web|author=Historic Preservation Field Services Bureau|title=National Register of Historic Places Inventory/Nomination:Zimmerman House|url=http://www.oprhp.state.ny.us/hpimaging/hp_view.asp?GroupView=1132|date=August, 1983|accessdate=2008-09-11 and [http://www.oprhp.state.ny.us/hpimaging/hp_view.asp?GroupView=1133 "Accompanying photos, exterior and interior, from 1980"] ] He designed the house in a Queen Anne style in 1890. It was built by his father-in-law, Alvah Beard. Zim also designed the Zim bandstand in nearby Teal Park.

The architectural and historic significance of the house led to its listing in the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
