Early life and education
Peter Behn is the son of
Harry Behn , an Americanscreenwriter and children's author, and Alice Lawrence. During the film's production, the Behn family moved to Arizona. The family later moved to Connecticut. Behn attendedPhillips Academy (a prep school) in Andover, Massachusetts, where he was on the swim team, and later attended Yale. Behn settled in
Warren, Vermont in 1964, where he had a career as areal estate broker . As the 50th anniversary of "Bambi"'s theatrical release approached, the studios hoped to get in touch with Behn again. "Los Angeles Times" film critic Charles Solomon mentioned the search in his column and the reconnection was made within a few weeks.
