Imerman Angels

Imerman Angels is a United States 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides a free one-on-one cancer support service for cancer fighters, survivors, and caregivers. It is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.

The organization partners a cancer patient (fighter) with a cancer survivor who’s beaten the same type of cancer. It also connects caregivers, those who support cancer patients.

The relationships give a fighter the chance to ask personal questions and receive support from a survivor, who is uniquely familiar with the situation. Peer support is an important component of palliative care, which aims to improve the quality of life for people facing serious illness.

History

Mission
