Etholle George

Etholle George

Etholle George (or Etholle Pegrum) is a radio and TV presenter, best known as part of the continuity team at BBC 7, as well as her work in BBC local radio and regional TV.

After leaving school at 18 to work in the City of London as an accountant, George's break in media came when she joined Radio Forest, based at St Margarets Hospital in Epping, where she presented a midweek evening show called 'The Wednesday Roundabout'. That led to BBC Essex where she started as a volunteer in 1993, her first job being to compile and read the Shoppers Car Parking Report on a Saturday morning.

After a lengthy spell working on the Breakfast Programme, she now presents her own lunchtime show between midday and 2pm every day and, since 2000, can also be seen on the small screen presenting Look East bulletins from both Cambridge and Norwich. At BBC 7 since 2002, she introduces the "7th Dimension" dramas and "bestsellers" during the week.

George is also qualifed in both windsurfing and scuba diving.
