Green printing

Green printing

Green printing is printing in a way which is environmentally friendly. This involves the use of more natural inks, recycled papers and energy conservation.

Certification

Like any other services available in the world, not all “green” printers are truly “green.” True “green” printers will have certifications from national and international agencies including The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes (PEFC) [http://pefc.org] , the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) [http://fscus.org] , and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) [http://sfiprogram.org] . These organizations help to insure that all operations are “green” including, paper conservation, using natural and recycled products, all workplace items that can be recycled are recycled, and excessive paper is not used, to name a few.
