Unión Montañesa Escobedo is a football team based in Camargo in the autonomous community of Cantabria. Founded in 1917, they play in the Tercera División - Group 3. Their stadium is the "Estadio Eusebio Arce", which has a capacity of 2,000.

History

UM Escobedo is one of the oldest clubs in Cantabria having been formed in 1917. The team played in the Regional Preferente league for the vast majority of its first 70 years, with the one exception being a season-long stay at the national fourth level in 1967-68. They returned to this level, now renamed the Tercera Division in 1989, and have remained at this level ever since. They were champions of the Tercera División - Group 3 in seasons 1991-92 and 1992-93 and have been runners-up on four occasions. They have unfortunately failed to progress beyond the play-off stage for promotion to Segunda Division B on the 10 occasions they have qualified.

They reached the third round of the Copa del Rey in 1992 when they lost to Malaga CF 0-3 on aggregate. They also reached the third round in 1994 when they lost 0-3 over two legs to UE Lleida.
