2008 Summer Paralympics medal table

2008 Summer Paralympics medal table

This is the full table of the medal count of the 2008 Summer Paralympics. These rankings sort by the number of gold medals earned by a country (in this context a country is an entity represented by a National Paralympic Committee). The number of silvers is taken into consideration next and then the number of bronze. If, after the above, countries are still tied, equal ranking is given and they are listed alphabetically. Athletes from Laos, Lebanon, Mongolia, Namibia, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Syria won their first ever Paralympic medals. Athletes from Croatia, Mongolia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Venezuela won their first ever gold medals. Athletes from 76 countries won medal, leaving 72 countries without medal.
