Electric Theatre Company

Electric Theatre Company is a non-profit, regional, resident theatre company located in Scranton, PA. The company was founded in 1992 as The Northeastern Theatre Ensemble by Zeve Ben Dov and played in Scranton for eight years before moving to Keystone College for four years. The theatre returned to downtown Scranton in 2004 and began the 2008-2009 season under its current name. The Electric Theatre company offers six mainstage productions each year from September through May each year. The production staff is largely composed of members of the resident artistic company as is the acting talent, while additional performers are drawn from New York and Philadelphia. The theatre is a professional, Equity house. In addition to the mainstage, two "Acting Alone" solo-shows are performed each year. Electric Theatre Company also runs "The Griffin Conservatory "a nineteen month professional training program.

Electric Theatre Company will present six shows on it's mainstage this season with the addition of two Acting Alone shows. They include

*"Mariama" by Marian Oliker
*"Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare
*"Brilliant Traces" by Cindy Lou Johnson
*"The Patrick Pearse Motel" by Hugh Leonard
