Electric Theatre Company is a non-profit, regional, resident theatre company located in
Scranton, PA . The company was founded in1992 as The Northeastern Theatre Ensemble by Zeve Ben Dov and played in Scranton for eight years before moving toKeystone College for four years. The theatre returned todowntown Scranton in2004 and began the2008 -2009 season under its current name. [http://www.electrictheatre.org/5%20About%20ETC/History.html] Since2005 it has performed in oldHotel Jermyn , a 160 seat house.The Electric Theatre company offers six mainstage productions each year from September through May each year. The production staff is largely composed of members of the resident artistic company as is the acting talent, while additional performers are drawn from
New York andPhiladelphia . The theatre is a professional, Equity house. In addition to the mainstage, two "Acting Alone" solo-shows are performed each year. Electric Theatre Company also runs "The Griffin Conservatory "a nineteen month professional training program.Current season
