It was first screened at the People's Palace of Culture in August 2008 in Pyongyang, as part of the 48th anniversary celebrations of the Songun “Military First” policy, and aimed at celebrating Kim Jong-il as the author of the policy. [Songun, however, is generally considered to have been adopted as government policy in the 1990s, once King Jong-il had come to power, and not in the 1960s.
