She learnt dancing from Tanushree Shankar.She was married with Singer Pramit Sen, son of late Rabindra sangeet singer exponent Sagar Sen, in 1998 during school age and now separated herself from her husband in June 2000. She has one daughter named Anwesha born in 2000She claim that her husband tortured her.Her husband,Singer Pramit Sen, was arrested in 2000 from his Golf Garden residence on charges of torturing wife Swastika, daughter of actor Santu Mukherjee.Santu Mukherjee alleged, Swastika was physically and mentally tortured by her husband. On the other hand her husband claim that his wife, being the daughter of an actor, suffers from a superiority complex. She used to insult him.
