transmission= 5-speed (chain)The Triumph Adventurer 900 was a British
motorcycle made byTriumph Motorcycles Ltd at theHinkley factory. Launched in 1996, the 'Adventurer' name came from a 500cc parallel-twin trail bike from the 1970s. The water-cooled, 12-valve triple engine was the same 885cc as theTriumph Thunderbird 900 , as were the steel frame and cycle parts including forks, rear shock, wheels and brakes. Modifications included raised handlebars and a single seat option. The most prominent features are the large rear fender, extra chrome-plated engine covers, and the megaphone-shaped silencers. The Adventurer suffered from lack of adjustment to the read mono-shock suspension that tended to bottom out on bumpy roads.
