Remote Data Exchange Protocol (RDEP) is a Cisco proprietary application-level used by Cisco IDS Sensor version 4.x
RDEP replace PostOffice, which is used by earlier versions of the Cisco IDS Sensor.
RDEP, a subset of the HTTP/1.1 protocol, uses a client request/server response model.
This protocol was later replaced by Security Device Event Exchange(SDEE) for the Cisco IPS Sensor verison 5.0
