The lizard of Lounis (Το Ερπετό Απ' Τ'ς Λούνις) [Gusteris Lizard]

Excerpt of the book "Images Of Kozani - From Memory To Nostalgia" (Κοζανίτικες Εικόνες - Από Τη Μνήμη Στη Νοσταλγία) written by the folklore scientist John G. Korkas (Ιωάννης Γ. Κορκάς).

The original version of the text was published in the local newspaper of Kozani "Grammi" (Γραμμή) in 29.06.2000.

In the old days "Lounis" (Λούνις) called by our grandparents the region of the road that leads to the village "Kariditsa" (Καρυδίτσα) or else "Spourta" (Σπούρτα). This region called "Lounis" (Λούνις) because of the marshy waters of the central sewer of Kozani (Κοζάνη) passing by and that is the reason that all the fields of the region was fertile and yielded because of all the sebaceous ingredients of the sewer once the fertilizer was natural.
