Virtual manager

Virtual Manager is a online manager game that originates from Denmark.

Introduction

In Virtual Manager a season takes a week in the real world. This means that the game is very fast paced. Each club plays at average five to seven matches a day! The match schedule for each season is created every Sunday evening. Seasons start at Sunday at 12am and end Sunday at 6pm UTC+1.

New clubs are automatically assigned some friendlies in which they will meet other new clubs. In this way, you can try out different tactics before the league matches start in the forthcoming season.

To join a league you must choose a country. After choosing a country, you will be placed in a appropriate division on the coming season start Sunday evening. And then you're off!

Training

You can train your players once a day. This is done by choosing "My Club" in the top menu followed by Training. On the training page you simply click "Train" to train all players. Through the training page you can also access your training statistics. On this page it is possible to examine the quality of your players training. That is, how much your players have gained in their abilities.

If a player one day has a training of 2 this mean that the player's abilities aggregated has risen with 2 points in all 18 abilities (finishing, dribling and so on). Players can have good and bad days, which means that the training will fluctuate from day to day.

The quality of your players' training depends of several factors. The most important are listed here:

* Potential: A player's potential is crucial for training. The potential is something each players is "born" with and cannot be changed manually. However, the potential will change slowly throughout a players career. * Training facility: The better training facility, the better training. * Trainer: Hire a trainer to increase the quality of your training. The better trainer, the better training. * Intensity: The intensity you define under training groups has a influence on training. The higher intensity, the better traning and the higher loss of energy. * Energy: The higher a player's energi level is, the better training. * Attention: If you are training more than 20 players in the same group, the quality of this training will decrease a bit.

Trade

Trade is an important part of the road to success. If you use some time finding the right players to the right players you can earn a good amount of Credits. However, this requires you know how the market works and know which types of players are in high demand.

To buy a player you must find him first. This is done via "Player Search" (Trade > Player search). When you've found a player you want to buy, select "Choose action" > "Place bid" in the upper right corner of the player profile page.

When you place a bid you must define a "bid" and an "auto bid". Bid is the amount of Credits you want to bid for the player. Auto bid in the maximum amount of Credits you want to spend on the player. This number is hidden from the seller. If you bid is accepted an auction starts. Should another club place a bid that is higher than your bid but less than your auto bid the system will automatically outbid that club.

After the seller has accepted your bid and hereby started an auction, this auction can be monitored via Trade > Bids > Auctions. On this page you can also increase your auto bid and monitor the amount of time there is left of the auction.

Tactics

Tactics are an important part of Virtual Manager. Using a good tactic, your chances of winning more matches are higher. Hereby you will win more prizes and your club will be promoted more often.

It is always a good idea to examine the tactic of the opponent and find its weaknesses and set up your own tactic to accommodate those weaknesses. The better you know your opponent's tactics, players, strength, and weaknesses the better your chances are of setting up a winner tactic!

Matches

When a match is to be played the match executer will first check both teams' players and tactics. If one of the teams have less than eight players or invalid tactics, the opposing team wins 3-0 without a match. If both teams have less than eight players or invalid tactics the match score will be 0-0. In these cases no ticket revenue is paid.

After this, the match executer will find or set up tactics for both teams. First it will look for specific tactics order. If none is find the default tactic will be used.

If no default tactic is found, the match executer will try to create a 4-4-2 formation. This formation is filled out with random players from the club. As a result, this tactic is rarely a good option and you should therefore always make sure to define a default tactic.

ponsors

As in the real world, your club must find a sponsor. A sponsorship can give you extra income each season.

To get a sponsorship you must send an application to the potential sponsors (Office > Sponsors). Before the start of the coming season the sponsors will respond to your application.

The sponsors have a limited budget for use on sponsorships. They try to obtain the best possible publicity per Credits the invest in sponsorships. The more vifa points your clubs have, the better publicity. The better publicity, the greater sponsor deal.

ExampleClub A, which has 1000 vifa points, sends a application of 1000 Credits to Sponsor X. Club B, which has 2000 vifa points, also sends an application. The sponsor chooses Club B's application, because it will get a better publicity per invested Credit.

You can send applications to as many sponsors as you want. A good idea is therefore to apply to one or more sponsors with a very low amount of Credits. In this way you can avoid entering next season without a sponsorship. After all, it is better to have a small sponsorship than none. When you have send a couple of "safe applications", you should send some more greedy ones in order to find your clubs optimal sponsorship requirements.

Remember that a sponsorship has duration of one season. This means you must apply for a new sponsorships every season.

You can only have one sponsorship at a time. The sponsors will set up sponsorships every Sunday evening. If you club get more than one sponsorship the most lucrative of these will be chosen for your club. The sponsorship is payed out immediately after the end of the season.

Leagues

In order to get a healthy economy it is vital to join a league. When you've selected a country, there will be a button saying "Join this country". The coming Sunday you will be placed in a division/group.

The division will be chosen by your vifa rank. Among the clubs that have applied to play in a country, the one will the best get the highest free spot. The lower vifa rank, the lower division. New clubs that have not yet a vifa rank will be placed in the lowest divisions.

EVERY sunday the best two teams are promoted to the league above and the four last teams are demoted.

It is your job to hire staff for your club. In Virtual Manager three types of employees exists: * Assistant managers * Trainers * Scouts

They each have their own special abilities and can contribute to your club in different ways.

Like players employees will require wages. The better they are, the more expensive salaries. However, some employees are greedier than others.
