Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs appeared at the 1972 Sunbury Music festival. Although an album was produced of the highlights of the festival, a separate album was released including the songs they performed.

The resulting double LP made it to number 8 on the Australian national album chart in 1972. In mint condition, the original LP release, with pop-up inserts, is much sought after by collectors today.
