Hyde + Hyde Architects

Hyde + Hyde is a UK architectural firm established in 2006 by Kristian Alexander Hyde and Kay Hyde.

The practice is involved in a variety of high quality projects in both the commercial and private sector.

In 2007 the practice won landmark Wales, an international competition to celebrate key entry points into South Wales.

In 2002 Kristian Hyde was awarded the RIBA Skidmore Owings + Merrill travel fellowship and was nominated for the 2002 RIBA presidents Silver Medal. It was at this time he was published in Building Design Magazine’s top 100 Students in the UK. His work has also been published in the Architects Journal and has been exhibited at the RIBA in London.

In 2001 Kay Hyde won the Lyceum design competition, a major student design competition in the United States to design a peace institute in Washington DC. Beating entries from, The Boston Architectural centre, Southern California institute of Architecture and Rhode island school of design. In 2002 she was nominated for the 2002 RIBA presidents silver medal.

Both directors have worked as tutors and visiting critics at a number of uk architecture schools, including the University of Bath, University of Portsmouth and the Welsh School of Architecture at Cardiff.
