- Quizor
Quizor (kwizer) is the internet's first personal study tool. Using the tool allows students to make up their own tests and quiz and re-quiz themselves. Quizor is a classic "mom and pop" enterprise, developed by a graduate student in Education and a software engineer. It was originally designed to help their child study for vocabulary tests. When its power to help improve grades became apparent, they made it available in 2006 to the general public under the brand name quizication. In 2007, they re-branded it as Quizor and continue to make enhancements to it based on feedback from parents, teachers, and students.
Quizor's success can be measured not only in the number of students who have earned better grades from using it, but also in the number of copy cat sites that have sprung up since its debut. While the mission of those other sites seems to be aggrandizement and enrichment of the owners, Quizor's mission remains the same: to help struggling students increase their self confidence, improve their study habits, and invoke a feedback loop that ultimately leads to better grades across the board and throughout their academic careers.
