Kodumudi Sambamurthi Sripathi

Kodumudi Sambamurthi Sripathi (born: 20 April 1950, Coimbatore) is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 1975 Tamil Nadu cadre. He is currently the Chief Secretary to the Government of Tamil Nadu. [http://www.igovernment.in/site/KS-Sripathi-is-TN-Chief-Secretary/]

He was born to Sambamurthi, an officer of the British Army who fought the Second World War and Vedanayaki in Bhawani, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. He has held distinguished positions of Vigilance Commissioner, Secretary Environments and Forests, Higher Education and Planning in Tamil Nadu.He is fluent in above ten languages, notably Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, French, German and Sanskrit. He is an alumnus of Loyola College, Chennai where he earned his Masters in Chemistry. He also holds a Masters in Economics and a Masters in Business Administration from Ljubljana, Slovenia
