- Fame (Law & Order episode)
"Fame" is the 372nd episode of NBC's legal drama Law & Order, and the season premiere of 17th season.
Plot
An off-duty police officer is shot to death when he checks noises in the apartment below his own. The apartment belonged to a paparazzi photographer who had pictures of a young celebrity mother neglecting her child, and who was attempting to sell the photos to her. Her husband, a rapper, was identified by a witness as the shooter. Further investigation reveals more damaging photographs, showing the celebrity snorting cocaine in a Miami nightclub while she was five months pregnant. The photographer admits on the stand that the husband paid him to take the pictures after giving her the cocaine, so as to set her up for any future divorce proceedings, and the husband is convicted.
