Lane Motor Museum

Lane Motor Museum is located in Nashville, Tennessee and features a unique collection of mostly European automobiles.

History

The museum was established in 2002 by Jeff and Susan Lane and began with Mr. Lane's personal collection. The collection is housed in a former bakery which occupied the site from 1951 to 1994. Many of the unique architectural details of the building have been retained.

The collection

The collection features over 125 automobiles, 20 motorcycles, and related art and memorabilia [ [http://home.comcast.net/~eggsngrits1/crazy%20cool%20classic%20tenn%20mag%20Feb%202008.pdf Tennessee Magazine] ] housed in approximately 40,000 square feet of open space. The museum includes the largest collection of Czechoslovakian cars outside of Europe, propeller-powered vehicles, microcars, three wheeled cars, amphibious vehicles, alternative fuel vehicles, military vehicles, one of a kind vehicles and prototypes. This museum is a hidden gem which highlights the outlandish and unusual sides of the automobile's development. [ [http://carsatlarge.com/2007/03/lane-motor-museum.html Cars At Large] ]
