- The Most Secret Place on Earth
The Most Secret Place on Earth is an upcoming film by German director Marc Eberle, dealing with the secret operation waged by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) throughout the sixties and early seventies against communist guerrillas in Laos, particularly in the city of Long Chen.
The movie is notable as being the first film that documents this little known conflict, despite the fact that it remains the largest and most expensive paramilitary operation ever run by the U.S., and that Long Chen has been off limits to the outside world since the end of the war in 1975.
The film is going to be released in cinemas across Europe later in 2008.
