Calyssa Rae Davidson (born December 27, 1989 in Beverly Hills, California) also known as Caly Davidson, is an award winning, up and coming professional violinist. She is the daughter of Emmy Award-nominated American television actor, Doug Davidson, and Emmy Award-nominated American actress Cynthia Fisher.

Education

She is currently studying violin and music theory at the Colburn Conservatory, School of Performing Arts in Los Angeles, California. Along with her music studies, Davidson is taking classes at Santa Barbara City College to earn her AA Degree majoring in English. She plans on transferring to another music conservatory full-time after earning her AA Degree.

Career

Most recently, Davidson has been linked with Zac Efron and his new film, 17 Again. She can also be seen in rock and roll legend Rick Springfield's latest music video, "Christmas With You". The video is dedicated to the American troops and all proceeds of the recording of this song are being donated to support the US military veterans organization American Gold Star Mothers, Inc. Throughout the video, names of fallen soldiers are credited as well as many of their photos.
Early in her career, she recorded solo violin for local bands, groups and commercials in her hometown, Santa Barbara, CA, including tracks for classic rock band, "Eye and Brain," as well as famous theme of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
Davidson is recording her debut album due to release 2010. There is talk that Davidson may work with The Jonas Brothers after filming Camp Rock 2, playing both acoustic and electric violin.

Her instruments include a 19th century, Italian violin made by Francesco Covi, a clear "Crossbow" electric violin embellished with a mirror finish, handcrafted and custom made for Davidson by Ted Brewer of the UK.
