Magic Mountain is a song performed by Eric Burdon & War in 1970. It was the b-side to their debut single hit "Spill the Wine".

When they first recorded it, it was supposed to release as a single. But for some sexual and drug references the radio DJs won't play it. So it was only the b-side.

This group was known for their sound featuring a mix of soul, funk, gospel, blues, rock, reggae, psychedelic and R&B. Sometimes their sound is described as hip hop. In this song Burdon rapped a small but important part.

While the group disbanded in 1971, Magic Mountain was never featured on an album. In 1976 Rhino/Avenue released a compilation of them, Love Is All Around. This album featured some unreleased tracks, but also songs which never released on an album, who where only b-sides.

To promote this compilation, they released "Magic Mountain" as a single.
