Zainizam Marjan (born on May 11, 1980) is a Malaysian footballer who was a midfielder for Sabah FA at Malaysia Premier League. He is the former member of Malaysia national football team. He is the younger brother of Sabah and Malaysia top striker during the 90s, Matlan Marjan.

Career

Zainizam start his football career with Sabah during 2002 season. He scored 11 goals in 24 matches during 2002 seson to help Sabah clinch third place in Malaysia Premier I League. He also help Sabah to finish as runners up in 2002 Malaysia Cup scoring 6 goals in the road to the final. [ [http://www.rsssf.com/tablesm/malay02.html 2002 Malaysia League] ]

His finishing ability attract the national team coach at that time Allan Harris to take him into the national senior team. He then made his first appearance against Myanmar on May 17, 2002. He also made appearance against Brazil and part of Malaysia under 23 2002 Asian Games squad. He also part of 2002 Tiger Cup squad.

During 2003, he help Sabah to fnish fourth in Malaysia Premier I League scoring only 4 goals. He then again help Sabah qualify into the final of Malaysia Cup for the second time but failed to win after losing to Selangor MPPJ by 3-0. After that, Zainizam was called up by Allan Harris to represent the Malaysia under 23 side for 2003 SEA Games. He manage to score 1 goals in Malaysia 4-3 defeat to host Vietnam. After winning the bronze medal at the 2003 SEA Games, Zainizam was called up for the 2004 Olympic Games qualifier. The qualification match was his last called up for the national team.
