Emprex

Emprex is a Taiwan based company, with products distributed through the USA via Fry's electronics.

Emprex brand products are manufactured by Behavior Tech Computer (BTC) of Taiwan for Fry's Electronics. Products marketed under the brand include high-definition televisions, flash drives, and computer peripherals such as monitors. Some other peripherals such as its DVD writers are sometimes manufactured by NEC Sony.

Emprex is known for its 'bare bones' quality. All of its products are known to be the simplistic product and nothing more (ex: LCD monitors by Emprex are merely LCDs, no extra features such as USB/height adjustment). Emprex, compared to many other brands such as Sony and Samsung is generally very inexpensive. It's LCD TVs may be only half of the price of a Sony. Thought Emprex offers low prices, it's quality is often disputed. Because Emprex has just begun marketing in the US, its reliability, tech support and quality is generally unknown.

The Emprex MR1/MR1H was recently awarded the Taiwan Excellence Award. Winners represent the highly innovative, best quality, and high value products made by Taiwanese companies.
