Gliese 678 is a spectroscopic binary star system approximately 60 light-years away in the constellation of Ophiuchus.

This system is in the "Zeta Herculis moving group", of low metallicity stars with 5 billion years of age. This group includes besides Zeta Herculis: δ Trianguli, ζ Reticuli, 1 Hydrae, Gl 456, φ² Pavonis, and GJ 9079. [cite journal | author=G. F.
