Aora TV is a satellite television subscriber in Indonesia that was operated by PT Karya Megah Adijaya which was owned by Rini M. Soemarno and Ongki M. Soemarno. It was started its nation-wide broadcast activity in the beginning of August 2008 with a 10 channel introductory service, highlighting the 2008 Summer Olympics. Four of the channels were dedicated to bringing the Olympic games and events to its customers’ homes. AORA earned the pay TV rights to the 2008 Olympics exclusively for Indonesia. Still in August 2008, Aora TV won the offer for the pay TV sole rights in Indonesia to the Barclays Premier League (BPL) 2008/2009’s season and offered a new, 12- channel package service which includes ESPN and STAR Sports with BPL content. This allows AORA subscribers to watch in full the 370 BPL matches in the 2008/2009 season, including preview shows and weekly highlights. Aora TV is also trying to be next generation broadcasting while PT First Media Tbk and Astro All Asia Networks plc has incompatibility conflict.
