It is native to much of western North America fromBritish Columbia toNew Mexico toBaja California , where it is a common plant in many types of habitat, including disturbed areas. This is a bristly annual herb similar in appearance to other fiddlenecks. Its coiledinflorescence holds yellow to orange tubular flowers up to a centimeter wide at the corolla, which often has fewer than five lobes.External links
