Marsh Fritillary butterfly was first sighted at Redlake Cottage Meadows in1995 . This internationally important species requires specific habitat management for its survival. After receiving a grant from the Hanson Environment Fund (a package of funding available to all county Wildlife Trusts, negotiated by the Trusts' National Office), Cornwall Wildlife Trust have been able to carry out scrub control and fencing to protect it.External Links
