Raymond Han is an American painter who was born in
Honolulu, Hawaii in 1931. After study withWillson Young Stamper (1912-1988) at theHonolulu Academy of Arts , Han moved to New York City and studied at theArt Students League of New York withFrank Mason (born 1921) andRobert Beverly Hale (1901-1985). Han resides in upstate New York.He is best known for his still lifes in the
photorealism genre. They are painted in cool colors with a great deal of white. Recently, he has begun incorporating nudes into some of his canvases. TheHonolulu Academy of Arts , theMunson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute (Utica, New York) and the Picker Art Gallery (Colgate College, Hamilton, New York) are among the public collections holding work by Raymond Han.References
