Soo Ik Lee, MD (-1995) was a Korean-born American neurologist and a subspecialist in clinical neurophysiology based at the
University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.Career
He graduated medical school in Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea in 1958. He spent his residency in neurology at
University of Virginia and served a fellowship inEEG at theMayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He returned to South Korea and served as chair of neurology at Yonsei University. In 1974, he was hired as faculty of neurology at the University of Virginia. He was director of EEG and Evoked Potentials. His clinical research centered on the clinical and EEG characteristics ofnonconvulsive status epilepticus (alsocomplex partial status epilepticus ,absence status epilepticus ,ictal stupor ).Selected Bibliography
