Dr Ivan Png is the Lim Kim San Professor in the School of Business, and Professor of Information Systems and Economics at the
National University of Singapore .Previously, he was a faculty member at the
UCLA Anderson School of Management (1985-96) and theHong Kong University of Science and Technology (1993-96).Education
Dr Png attended the Anglo-Chinese School, Singapore, and graduated with first class honours in economics from the
Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge (1978) and a PhD from theStanford Graduate School of Business (1985).Books
He is the author of Managerial Economics, which has been translated into Chinese (both traditional characters and simplified characters) and Korean. Managerial Economics is written, "in simple, accessible style, the text-book presents the essentials of managerial economics." The book has been revised twice, with the 3rd edition written with Dale Lehman.The English Edition is published by Blackwell Publishers.

He has written several articles, which have been published in the "Business Times", "Straits Times" and the "NUS Business Edge". Articles include: "SGX should hive off clearing function", 4th July 2008 and "Time to rethink some taxes", 10th January, 2008.
