Their self release debut EP 'The Ballad of Charles Godfrey Stilton' created a buzz around northern Britain back in 2001.
In March 2003 saw arrival of
Ted Heagle and the release of the single 'High Society ' which was recorded byDuncan Cameron [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duncan_Cameron_(record_producer)] ,Teenage Fanclub ,BMX Bandits ,Travis ) and produced byDavid Scott [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Scott_(Scottish_musician)] (The Pearlfishers ) . With the success of High Society, The Fuse released their debut album North Eastern Town in 2004. The album can be said to represent two sounds. The first half has powerful yet melodic undertones and the second half verges into the dirty world of sleazy rock 'n' roll. They took they're record over the Atlantic to
New York and played outstanding gigs at the infamousCBGB and Kennys Castaway. They rounded of their NYC trip by playing an impromptu gig in the foyer of theChelsea hotel where the resident freaks, geeks, rockers and rollers welcomed The Fuse into their Cauldron of Creativity.2005 saw a string of excellent gigs throughout the UK along with a live session on
Vic Galloway 'sRadio Scotland show. However the band called it a day later that year due to personal commitments.Ted Heagle became manager of
The High Dials and now runs a records label called [http://www.sunnylanerecords.ca Sunny Lane Records]Rob Doig plays bass for
