Career Highlights

He sky rocketed to fame during the ice storm of '98 where he was the voice of help and comfort to thousands of northern new yorkers crippled during the catastropic event. Spezzano stayed on the air for forty-eight hours unable to leave since the roads were inpassable and no one could come in and take his place. Spezzano and his partner Erika have won 7 NYS Excellence in broadcasting awards for outstanding on air personality. Johnny is also the host of the Children's Miracle Network Radiothon annually, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for sick kids in NNY.
