B976 road

The B976 is a B road in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, extending convert|35.8|mi from the B974 road at the village of Strachan in the east to the A939 road at Gairnshiel Lodge in the west. It is known as the Feughside-Crathie-Gairnshiel Road by the local authority roads department [http://www.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/roads/maintenance/south_highways_list_feb07.pdf Accessed 25 August 2008] . For convert|380|m|yd to the west of Crathie Kirk the route is shared with the A93 road. The section of the road from the gates of Balmoral Castle to Strachan lies entirely to the south of the River Dee and (along with the parts of the B974, C36K and B9077 roads between Strachan and Aberdeen) is widely referred to locally as the South Deeside Road.
