Hanachirasu

is a Japanese eroge visual novel by Nitroplus released September 30, 2005. Like many Nitroplus titles it is both a action and graphically dark visual novel.

Plot and Setting

The story takes place in a alternate universe where Japan maintained its colonies but still lost to America in 1945. However in 1970 an armed uprising puts Japan into martial law and later events lead to the mass banning of all firearms, the mass resignation of the Japanese Diet members, and finally the expulsion of foreigners.

Tokyo thus becomes a center of lawlessness and terrorism.

The story follows the exploits of a young bishounen named Ayane Takeda, an expert in Kenjutsu.
