Gayatri Shunmugam

Gayatri Shunmugam ( born June 2 1986) is a Singaporean model turned beauty queen.

Gayatri Shunmugam was born in Singapore and moved to Chennai when she was just 6 months old. At the age of 6 she moved back to Singapore to complete her education. She studied in one of Singapore's most reputable girls school, St. Margaret's Secondary School. She went on to do her complete her college education at St. Andrew's Junior College. She started modelling at the age of 18 and has modelled for various ads. Some of her most notable ads include Intel and Beneath the Stars Jewellery. InM May 2008, she came in as 2nd runner in the Miss Singapore Universe 2008. She emerged as one of the major title winners as Miss Singapore 2008. She was the first Tamilian of Indian origin to have won a title at Singapore's most prestigous pageant.

Career-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------After completing her degree, Gayatri worked with Singapore Airlines as a flight attendant for about 2 years. During this period she continued her modelling career. She continues to model for various products an services in Singapore.
