Richard Benyon (1811-1897)

Richard Benyon or Richard Fellowes (1811-1897) was a British politician and civil servant.

He was the nephew of Richard Benyon De Beauvoir, and inherited Englefield House and its associated estates from him upon his death in 1854. In 1857 he was made High Sheriff of Berkshire, and was made the Chairman of the counties Quarter Sessions in 1864.

In 1860 he was elected as the Member of Parliament for Berkshire, a position he held until his resignation in 1868.
