Kim Hyun-Soo (Hangul: 김현수, Hanja: 金賢洙) (born Jan 12, 1988 in Seoul, South Korea) is a South Korean outfielder who plays for the Doosan Bears in Korean professional baseball league.

Amateur career

Kim attended Shinil High School in Seoul, South Korea. In 2005, he was selected for the South Korea national junior team that was runner-up at the 6th Asian Junior Baseball Championship in Seoul, South Korea.

Notable international careers

Professional career

In 2008, Kim was selected to the South Korea national baseball team, and helped lead South Korea to a gold medal at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China, going 10-for-24 with 4 RBIs. In the preliminary round game against Japan, Kim hit a go-ahead RBI single in the top of the ninth off closer Hitoki Iwase to break a 2-2 tie as a pinch hitter, leading South Korea to a 5-3 win over Japan.
