Alfred James Chotzner

Alfred James Chotzner was a British judge and politician.

He was the son of Joseph Chotzner, a notable rabbi. Alfred was educated at Cambridge University, and afterwards entered the Indian Civil Service, rising to become a High Court judge. In 1831 Alfred was elected as a Member of parliament for Upton, resigning in 1834. [C. D. Lippe, "Bibliographisches Lexikon", i. 66]
