Malati Ghosal

Malati Ghosal (born 17 December, 1902) was a noted Bengali singer of Rabindrasangeet and Hindustani classical music. She was an exponent of the Vishnupur Gharana, famous for Dhrupad. She studied with Gopeswar Bannerjee, son of musician Anantalal Bannerjee, all stalwarts of the above gharana. She was among the first singers of Rabindrasangeet, contemporary of Sahana Debi, Kanak Biswas, Pankaj Mullick, Kanika Bandyopadhyay and Suchitra Mitra.
