Sth (trigraph)

Sth is a trigraph found in words of Greek origin. In French, it is pronounced IPA|/s/ before a consonant, as in "isthme" and "asthme"; in Englsh, it is pronounced IPA|/s/ in the first word "(isthmus)" and IPA|/z/ in the second "(asthma)."
