Patricia Cloherty

Patricia M. Cloherty (born 1942) is an internationally-known venture capitalist, who is Chairman & CEO of Delta Private Equity Partners. Delta Private Equity Partners manages The U.S. Russia Investment Fund to which Cloherty was appointed by President Bill Clinton in 1994.

Cloherty is one of a handful of Americans to have received the Order of Friendship, Russia's highest honor for non-citizens, by a decree from former Russian president and current prime minister Vladimir Putin on March 17, 2008.

Formerly, Cloherty was Co-Chairman, President and General Partner of Apax Partners, Inc. (formerly Patricof & Co. Ventures, Inc.), an international private venture capital company that she joined in 1970. She is a trustee of International House, Teachers College, Columbia University, the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. She served in the Peace Corps in Brazil from 1963 through 1965.
