Vassilis Paleokostas

Vassilis Paleokostas

Vassilis Paleokostas is a Greek fugitive criminal who escaped by helicopter from a Greek prison in 2006 while serving a 25-year sentence for kidnapping and robbery. He was re-arrested 2 years later, in 2008, and is believed to have been the mastermind of the kidnapping of George Mylonas, a Greek industrialist, as the ransom paid was traced back to him. His brother, Nikos Paleokostas, is also in prison for 16 bank robberies [http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7574753.stm] .
