NinSheetMusic, also known as Nintendo Sheet Music, or NSM, is a website that contains video game-related video game sheet music, all arranged for the piano. NinSheetMusic has over 1,000 individual pieces of sheet music on its website. Every song has a .MUS file, a file type associated with Finale products, and a MIDI file.

History

Guan van Zoggel created Video Game Sheet Music on April 11th, 2004 [http://www.ninsheetmusic.net/forum/index.php?topic=816.msg12579#msg12579] . Soon after, on May 1st, 2004 Video Game Sheet Music was renamed and moved to http://www.ninsheetmusic.tk/ [http://www.freewebs.com/vgsm/] . It remained there until September 24th, 2006 when it was moved again to http://www.ninsheetmusic.net/ where it currently resides [http://web.archive.org/web/20061008105016/http://www.ninsheetmusic.net/] . On January 2008, NinSheetMusic.net went down for about a month, until February 22nd, 2008. This mishap was caused by a hardware upgrade, and failure. The NinSheetMusic administrators failed to back up all of the files, resulting in immense data loss [http://www.ninsheetmusic.net/forum/index.php?topic=3.msg181#msg181] . Today, NinSheetMusic now accepts video game music from companies beyond Nintendo. Once again NinSheetMusic went down on September 20th, 2008, this time caused by their domain name expiring. ubmission Process

Submissions are handled using the forum. A user can make one thread to contain his or her song. When a update is coming, the staff will download the user's top song in their queue, edit the sheet music to Nintendo Sheet Music's standards, and upload it to the website under the associated game.this just in, ninsheetmusic is no longer! it might come back, but nobody knows for sure. Try to get to the home page, google it and click in it and it will say the domain name expired. another good source (thought not quite as good) for video game and anime music is www.ichigossheetmusic.com or somtin like that google it.
